More than 200 HIV experts and stakeholders from various backgrounds are expected to attend the West and Central Africa Regional Meeting on HIV in Praia, Cape Verde from 30 to 01 June. Participants will discuss mechanisms to revitalize the response to HIV in the changing context of West and Central Africa.

The opening ceremony will be chaired by the Prime Minister of Cape Verde at the Amphitheatre of the National Assembly. Discussions will focus on innovations in HIV, health system financing, children and adolescents, access to treatment for vulnerable populations, among other issues. This is an opportunity for the personalities and other actors present to also advocate for greater consideration of Civil Society Organisations at the community level and sustainable funding in the response to HIV in West and Central Africa.
