In line with its mission to support populations, particularly those most at risk from the coronavirus, Enda Santé very quickly took the initiative to make masks in the colours of Africa. In Mbour, Ziguinchor, Kolda and Dakar, the organisation mobilised local tailors and designers whose activities were affected by the epidemic, to reinforce the barrier measures to COVID19 and to revive the local economy. These artisans and designers mobilised to produce thousands of masks that met the standards.
For several days, masks have been distributed free of charge to the population, as well as disinfectants and awareness-raising tools. These activities are carried out in partnership with associations, relays, community health workers, Stop COVID volunteers, health districts and local authorities.
