The students and teachers of the Lycée de Fimela can congratulate themselves for adopting eco-responsible behaviour.
Through their EVF club, they have set up a school garden, in which salad greens, peppers, mint "nana" and papaya are grown. The proceeds from this activity are used to refurbish the school.
The establishment of school gardens, supported by ENDA Santé within the framework of the Senegal Programme, is also effective in other high schools in Senegal.
In addition, the Fimela high school recycled used tyres and other plastic waste to make benches.
