Casamance research-programme on HIV-resistance and sexual health (CARES)

Context

The CARES project is a research and skills development project aimed at increasing access to diagnostics and treatment for the 3 infections: HIV, HBV, and HPV. Co-funded by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg and implemented by ENDA Santé in the region of Ziguinchor and in Guinea Bissau, it targets HIV-infected people in order to reduce mortality related to HIV, HBV and HPV viruses and to improve the health status of the population in West Africa

Objective

To improve the care of HIV-infected people and reduce mortality from HIV, hepatitis B and cervical cancer in the southern region of Senegal (Casamance) and in Guinea Bissau.
